THE GROVEHILL GANG 

Author/illustrator Jacqueline Ward has been an elementary school teacher for over twenty years.  During that time, she has enjoyed many years in the classroom, as well as being the school teacher/librarian and learning assistance teacher. Besides teaching and farm life, Jackie has also worked in advertising and started a busy trail riding business. She lives on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, with her husband and a wide variety of animals.

Hi Kids!

During one of my school visits, a young boy said to me "You're lucky to have such interesting animals.  My dog is boring." When I asked how much time he spent with his dog, he said "Not much.  She's boring.  And anyway, she's tied up in the backyard all the time." 

There's no such thing as "just a dog", and if you take the time to get to know your pet, you'll be delighted at how much they have to offer you.  When you've got pets in your life, you'll never be without a friend and you'll always have stories to tell.
